《秋》一曲中轉用F大調，活潑生動的描寫農民們歡樂飲酒跳舞慶豐收的喜悅場面，在《冬》一曲中則用f小調描寫在冰上行走的人們，以及從爐邊眺望屋外雨景的模樣。樂曲結構是為主奏樂器的協奏曲，採用快-慢-快的三樂章寫作，樂曲各具特色，在巴洛克的協奏曲中，一直保持著居高不下的地位。
