The YSL-823GD retains the playability of the existing YSL-823G while offering enhanced focus, particularly in low notes with the F trigger engaged and in higher registers above High B♭. It provides a balanced combination of resistance, ease of double-tonguing, and smooth natural slurs, delivering both power and agility.
The cut bell, a defining feature of this model, adds localized weight to the bell section. This might initially make the instrument feel front-heavy. However, thanks to the reverse placement of the lever, players can adopt a grip that offsets the forward weight, ensuring comfortable handling.
