Among the first Gold Label guitars crafted with a Grand Concert body, this custom model features a stripy sinker redwood top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides. Here our Grand Concert body has been reimagined with extra depth at the soundhole for a deeper sound with greater sonic push. Sourced from old-growth logs reclaimed from California’s coastal rivers, sinker redwood absorbs minerals from silt in the water, creating the beautiful striping and rich coloration exemplified in this model’s soundboard. Redwood’s cedar-like warmth and bold projection complement rosewood’s deep, resonant lows and bright, shimmering highs. Inside, our fanned V-Class bracing contributes additional warmth and low-end expansiveness, while the long-tenon Action Control Neck allows for easy, on-the-fly string height adjustments. Ivoroid, faux-tortoiseshell and ebony appointments infuse the design with a sense of heritage and modern sophistication.
