The EFX Crash blends the smoothness of the A Custom line with a china-like bite. Fast, trashy, and controlled, this distinctive-looking cymbal has a musical bloom with a wide tonal range. Played soft, it resembles a traditional thin crash. But as it opens up, laser-cut perforations across the surface of the cymbal reveal the Zildjian A Custom EFX Crash's ragged edge. So if you prefer a minimalist setup, the EFX crash will net you a dark wash to an overdriven bark depending on your playing intensity. It also sports a nice dry ping for accent work.
