The Yamaha AMS1460 Absolute Hybrid Maple snare drum is a glimmering apparition with attractive chrome hardware. This 14-inch snare drum has a slightly deeper than average shell of 6 inches, for a full sound. Maple makes up the majority of the shell, and nestled between 6 maple layers you'll find a hard layer of wenge wood, which add a nice dose of clarity and brightness to the warmth of the maple wood. Together, this wood combination offers excellent dynamic reach.
The 3mm hoops are made of aluminium, and the snare wires consist of 25 strands for a thick snare sound. The snare is particularly easy to switch in and out, thanks to the special Q type strainer, so you can effortlessly change your sound. All of this combines to give you an attractive snare drum with a dynamic sound.
