This custom Builder’s Edition model presents a dusky, vintage-infused aesthetic that reflects its warm, earthy tone. Mahogany back and sides are paired with a striped Western Red cedar top in a Grand Auditorium body. Mahogany’s woody, dry midrange character blends beautifully with cedar’s warm, lush tone and quick, overtone‑rich response, rewarding fingerstyle players and those with a lighter touch. V-Class interior bracing ensures the tonal balance and uniform responsiveness that defines Builder’s Collection guitars. The forward-leaning design incorporates chamfered body edges and a beveled armrest and cutaway that provide a smoother, ergonomically enhanced playing experience. A hand-sprayed shaded edgeburst enhances the subtle amber hue of the cedar soundboard, while a peghead that evokes an earlier era in Taylor Guitars’ history with a distinctive inlay that was a hallmark of our 900 Series guitars between 2001 and 2010. That decorative accent complements other iridescent mother-of-pearl appointments, including a single-ring rosette and Large Engraved Diamonds fretboard inlays.
