The Yamaha YAS-875EXII Custom EX alto saxophone marks a huge step forward for saxophone design. Offering players a wealth of musical possibilities, the second-generation Custom EX has been designed in collaboration with some of the world’s most talented saxophonists, including Nobuya Sugawa, Jean-Yves Fourmeau and Otis Murphy. Their invaluable input has guided Yamaha to craft an instrument that boasts outstanding intonation, a wide dynamic range, and complete expressive freedom.

Custom V1 neck adds richness and fullness to the sound.
YAS-875EXII Neck receiver
The nickel-silver custom-style neck receiver offers a rich, focused tone with excellent response and high rigidity. It is compatible with necks designed for both the Custom Z and Custom EX Yamaha saxophones (sold separately), providing flexibility in your setup.
Octave key with ball joint for utmost smoothness
The octave key has a unique ball joint design for smoother, quicker action. The neck receiver improves the tonal resonance.
875 shape with custom brass
The 875 series features an innovative body shape unique to Yamaha, delivering moderate resistance and a rich, solid tone. The materials used are specifically optimized for custom models.
Ergonomic key layout (875/875EX)
The key layout is ergonomically designed to fit the natural shape of the hands, allowing players to focus on their performance without discomfort. The 875 series features a newly designed key layout for enhanced playability.
Integrated key posts
This style of key posts adds a moderate resistance and makes the instrument sound as you blow into it.
Adjustable tear drop front F key
