An evolution of the SERIES III soprano, it delivers significantly enhanced acoustic performance together with major mechanical innovations.
The SIGNATURE soprano offers exceptional versatility across musical styles and for saxophonists at every level. Now the sole soprano saxophone in our range, the SIGNATURE replaces both the Super Action 80 SERIES II and SERIES III models. It brings together every quality musicians expect from a leading professional soprano.
The SIGNATURE name highlights Henri SELMER Paris’s identity as both inventor and maker - an identity forged through the and mark models that have shaped its history.

The soprano saxophone is a demanding instrument to master, requiring a high level of control from the player.
Representing the renewal of the SERIES III, which has played a defining role in the history of the soprano saxophone since its launch in 1993, the SIGNATURE model makes the instrument immediately more accessible to play, from the very first notes. It offers a level of relaxation and playing ease never before experienced on a soprano.
By providing easier access to the soprano’s appealing, round sound, while naturally avoiding excessive tonal edge, it offers exceptionally even intonation and tonal consistency through to the upper and altissimo registers, making these registers particularly easy to produce.
The reliable response of the low register and right-hand notes inspires confidence, allowing for more relaxed playing, while the stability of the upper register remains exceptional, even at the softest dynamics.
Also inspired by the SERIES III to meet the needs of every musician, its ergonomics benefit from a new neck socket system with three-point concentric clamping, providing a more secure connection between the body and the neck; an adjustable nickel-silver clamping ring for greater density and strength; and an octave-key mechanism with Teflon bearings for smoother mechanical action.
Adorned with an original Art Deco engraving that pays tribute to the time-honoured gestures passed down from generation to generation within the Henri SELMER Paris Factory in Mantes-la-Ville, where the company has been based since 1919, the SIGNATURE soprano is both rooted in tradition and distinctly modern.
It is probably the finest soprano saxophone designed and manufactured by Henri SELMER Paris since the introduction of its first model in 1922.
